Ryan Villopoto Wins Toronto SX

Ryan Villopoto is dominating the main events lately. Toronto SX seemed like an easy breeze of a race for Ryan on March 24th. The top 4 winner of the race were Kawasaki riders which the management of the Mike Williamson tuned bikes should be proud. A record-breaking crowd of 47 000 attendance piled into the Rogers Center in Toronto just north of the boarder. The day started early with practices on the surprisingly "rocky" dirt track. Villopoto was looking confident all throughout the night. His introduction following the national anthem done by the well-known guitarist "Slash" was phenomenal. Ryan Villopoto was sparked by the big crowd right from the beginning, which showed from his very fast start out of the gate in the main event. His holeshot was earned while Kawasaki rider Jake Weimer trailed him into the first rhythm section. The track stayed in good shape, with only a few big jumps forming avoidable ruts on the take-off. The second section after the finish line was giving most of the riders problems, the secions included a hump prior to a big triple jump. The hump was placed about 7 feet just before the take off of the triple, which forced the riders to have to focus on their timing of the jump to avoid serious casing. Toronto spectators chose a great race to attend, although top riders James Stewart and Chad Reed were out with injuries. Chad Reed was nice enough to show his support for the Toronto fans and fly to the North to help commentate the race on the Speed channel. Chad Reed joined slash during the introductions to tell the fans how much he is impressive by the turn out and cheering. Congratulations to Ryan Villopoto for the win in the main event, and Justin Barcia for the win in the lites class.
